Members of the Southern Automotive Media Association turned out in force on December 16, 2007 for the first-ever holiday party organized by the group.
The party, sponsored by the Southeast Region office of Toyota Motor Sales, Lexus and Scion, took place aboard the party boat MV Celebration, which departed from the Dinner Key docks at SW 27th Avenue and South Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove. The Celebration then cruised around Biscayne Bay for four hours while SAMA members listened to the live jazz sounds of Joe Gransden and his quartet, who came all the way from Atlanta to entertain at the event.
More than 60 SAMA members and their guests came to party and enjoyed an evening of non-stop music, fine wine, an open bar, hor d’oeuvres and a delectable buffet-style dinner of roast pork, baked salmon, roast beef and roast turkey with all the
The cruise and party concluded with the presentation of gift bags to all SAMA members and guests. The bags were chock-full of items donated by various automotive manufacturers, including Lexus, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW, Ford, GM, Jaguar, Land Rover and Jeep. Many thanks to those manufacturers for helping to make the gift bags an overwhelming success.
