The beautiful Perez Museum on the Bay provided the setting as over 35 members and guests gathered Jun 29 for SAMA’s monthly meeting. Mopar, which is celebrating 80 years in the motor parts business, sponsored the event with presentations by Ross McGinnis, Vice President for Sales and Development, and Todd Beddick, head of Accessories and Performance Portfolio. On display down in the courtyard and available for short rides for the members were a limited edition Mopar Dodge Challenger and a Wrangler-based Jeep Switchback concept vehicle. Mopar has evolved from a company that first hit the market with antifreeze on August 1, 1937, into a thriving business with over 150 markets and 500,000 products. It serves as a global service, parts and customer care brand for all owners of FCA vehicles.

Kimberly Shults, Ariel Gavilan, and Claudia Gregory represented FCA at the luncheon.

After the program and before the lunch, Vice President Paul Borden conducted a very brief business session, thanking members for their support of the seventh annual Topless in Miami Presented by Haartz earlier in the month.

He asked that any members with suggestions or comments to make the event even better email him at pborden41@yahoo.com.

Treasurer Marcello Serrato reported a balance of over $7,800 in the SAMA treasury and noted the addition of one new member, Jim Henry, who attended Topless in Miami as a special guest of Haartz.

Our next luncheon will be July 20 with the Jeep Compass as the featured vehicle. Watch your email for further detail
