MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2016)
The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, a new midsize sedan from the
Italian automaker, has been selected as the “Star of the
Show” for the 2016 Miami International Auto Show.
A panel of judges made up of SAMA members and headed by
President Jose “Pepe” Delfino chose the Giulia from a field
of over 1,000 cars, trucks, crossover and SUVs and results
were announced Saturday at the annual show luncheon hosted
by the Southern Automotive Media Association (SAMA) and
sponsored by General Motors.
Other winning vehicles were the Cadillace ATS-V as the
Sedan/Coupe of the Show, the Nissan Rogue as the SUV of the
Show, and Honda Ridgeline as the Pickup Truck of the Show.
The Terry Jackson Memorial Award for service for the
betterment of SAMA and contributions to the South Florida
auto industry went to Tony Serrato of Prestige Auto for his
longtime efforts in support of SAMA and its special events
throughout the year.
The 46th annual auto show continues through Sunday, Nov. 18.
